TWO PROJECTS FINALIZED AT TEKNOFEST 2021 FROM ÇAKÜ

At TEKNOFEST 2021, the "Tourism and Earthquake Wristbands" projects carried out by the members of the Artificial Intelligence Community under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Seda Şahin, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering at Çankırı Karatekin University, qualified to compete in the finals in the fields of Tourism Technologies and Communication Technology.

The evaluation of other projects of the ÇAKU team, which will compete in the mentioned fields in the TEKNOFEST 2021 final, which will be held at Atatürk Airport between September 21 - 26, 2021, continues in the fields of Educational Technologies and Technologies Beneficial to Humanity.

The application named “TRIP BUDDY”, which is one of the two projects that made it to the finals and which is among these works carried out by our students with intense effort and devotion, was also supported by Çankırı Karatekin University and the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism. With the application, a tourist coming to the city for tourism mobility will be able to meet all their needs including accommodation, transportation, health, and security, and will be able to have information about the city and the touristic points of the city.

In addition to this project in the field of Tourism Technologies, it is possible to share data about the health status and location of the earthquake victim with the data to be obtained from the smart watch of the person under the debris in the event of a possible earthquake, with the wreckage rescue personnel and the family of the person in the event of a possible earthquake. In addition to the effects mentioned, with this study named "EARTHQUAKE BRACELET" prepared with the contributions of Çankırı Karatekin University and AFAD Provincial Directorate, users will be able to create groups of friends and family and share similar data among these groups.

In the other project in the field of Educational Technologies, whose referee evaluation continues on the way to becoming a finalist, it is aimed that students with visual, hearing, and speech disabilities receive education with non-disabled students in normal classroom environments, and an application called "BITTOK" has been developed on the subject. Another ongoing project is competing in the field of Technologies Beneficial to Humanity. In the project, it was aimed to be in close proximity to the health institution needed for urgent blood, plasma, and platelet needs, to contact individuals who are physically suitable for donation and to encourage them to donate, and the "BLOOD RELATION" application was developed in this direction.

Prof. Dr. Seda Şahin, the student and Community Advisor who took part in the project team, said; “Despite the pandemic, our university teams participated in the TEKNOFEST 2021 competitions and managed to stay in the finals.
