15 universities applied for the 5th call period of the "Regional Development Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Program" carried out by YÖK. As one of the three selected universities, it took its place among ÇAKÜ Specialized Universities. In the statement made by YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, it was stated that our university will specialize in the field of "Sectoral Salt and Salt Based Products". Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Harun Çiftçi, received the certificate of our university from the President of YÖK, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar. Çankırı Governor M. Fırat Taşolar and Çankırı Deputy Emin Akbaşoğlu were also present at the ceremony. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Harun Çiftçi stated that they have been working intensively for two years and expressed his gratitude to our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, our YÖK president and all those who contributed.
