On the second day of ÇAKÜFEST 2024, science, culture, and art events continued at full speed. The opening of the ÇAKÜ Science Festival, organized jointly by our university`s Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering, was conducted by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Harun Çiftçi, and Çankırı Provincial Director of National Education, Muammer Öztürk. The event, which featured interesting projects and hands-on scientific activities, attracted significant interest from both ÇAKÜ students and high school students.
In his speech at the ÇAKÜ Science Festival, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Harun Çiftçi, mentioned that many events had been postponed during the pandemic and earthquake periods, and with the resumption of face-to-face education this year, they have started to see tangible results of the education provided. Rector Çiftçi emphasized that Çankırı Karatekin University always has a management approach that collaborates with stakeholders; aiming to raise awareness not only in Çankırı but also across the country in science, art, and other fields.
Highlighting that students from the National Education Directorate will become the future members of higher education, Rector Çiftçi expressed his firm belief that they would achieve valuable projects together, both in the scientific olympiads organized by TÜBİTAK and other events. He also underscored ÇAKÜ`s scientific infrastructure, expressing pride and satisfaction in the university`s international ranking achievements and their ongoing contributions to the literature both in Turkey and globally.
Rector Çiftçi pointed out that ÇAKÜ`s membership in the European University Association among approximately 800 universities from 49 countries will create new opportunities for scientific studies and educational mobility. He announced that 41 universities from Turkey, including ÇAKÜ, participated in the Union of Turkish Universities under the Organization of Turkic States, which recently convened in Baku, Azerbaijan. Rector Çiftçi stated, “Our university is involved in activities not only in Çankırı and Turkey but also worldwide. We have full confidence that by working together and creating a beautiful synergy, we will undertake scientifically valuable projects.” He thanked the academics and students who contributed to the ÇAKÜ Science Festival.
